October 20, 2012-Kelley's Baby Shower

I was honored to be able to throw my friend her baby shower yesterday.  Unfortunately it was sort of bad timing as my whole family was sick.  It started with my husband, then passed to me, and then I passed it along to poor Braden.  Not only is Braden sick but he has 4 molars coming in at different stages!  That can't be fun!  Despite being sick it was a lovely party and I think Kelley had fun.  We were missing several key people though....Pauletta, Leah, & Jen.  It wasn't quite the same without them.  Kelley looked gorgeous of course as the momma to be.  I had so much fun making crafts for the event.  Our friend Erin Taylor flew in from Oklahoma.  She came over early to help me.  I always think I have plenty of time and can do things all by myself but I could not have done it without her.  I always wish I had taken more pictures at events like these but it's hard to take so many pictures but yet just enjoy your company.  Then the pictures I do take I get frustrated with because they have shadows or are too dark.  It's hard to get indoor pictures just the way you want.

Erin made the cute little banner handing on the wall.  You can hang it up at every special event for the child.  I thought it was a cute idea.

My first diaper cake ever.  It was so much fun to make and really pretty easy.

Decorations and party favors

The gang that was there...Jenn, Erin, Kelley, Missy, Me with Braden, Jennifer with Savannah, Pam, and Andrea.  Then of course there was Leslie (kelley's mother & Mona (Kelley's mother in law).

Savannah is such a cutie at 4 months old.  I think she is well fed!

It was nice to be able to use my living room for something.

Present time...she got a "wee block".  Those boys, you have to watch out for them during diaper changes.  This is supposed to help protect you.

Cute sweater...he's gonna be styling

Savannah getting some floor time!

Kelley is sporting her new hooter hider made by yours truly.

Bucket of Burpees made by Erin

The burp clothes were cloth diapers with fabric sewed down the middle.  Great idea!

Undershirts by the month so you can take pictures of them in it to help you remember how old they were.  Pretty creative!

The dueling bellies, I think Kelley's wins!  I just look like I'm standing with bad posture and have a beer gut!

Rubbing the buddha belly for good luck.
