Time continues to fly by in the Christen Family! I can't believe our little man is almost 2 months old. He is just that a little man. Several people have commented on his mature looking face. I look back on his pictures and truly see how he is growing and changing and some how I need to find a way to keep up with him with pictures and journaling but also balance that with simply enjoying him. I'm finding that is a little difficult to do. Braden has come down with a little cold over last 2 days. His nose is stuffy making it harder to breath. It just brakes my heart to see him snorting as he tries to breath or cry. Hopefully it will pass soon but I know this is the first of many to come as kids are full of germs! Well let's see if I can catch up on things since I last wrote....
MAY 7TH
My friend Leah was in town from Pullman with her family so she came over for a visit with her daughter Abi and our friend Kelley.

Braden looks so small in this outfit
Leah with daughter Abi and Braden. It seems like Abi was born just yesterday and look at her now!
MAY 9TH
We hadn't gotten around to bathing Braden at home yet but this morning he had a big poopy diaper and actually pooped on my hand as I was changing his diaper. Gross yes but just what I needed to laugh. Daddy was definitely grossed out! We decided this was a good time to give him his first bath.
Forgive me for how horrible I look here.....I obviously hadn't showered yet. Braden looks so small in the huge tub.
He's not liking his bath....hopefully that changes!
Much happier all wrapped up!
He looks tired like that was exhausting!
MAY 15TH
Auntie Cheryl (Todd's sister) and Uncle John came for their first visit at home.
MAY 19TH
My parents were heading down to visit my grandparents in Des Moines so I bummed a ride with them. It was there first time seeing Braden in person so they were pretty excited!
Grandma Ann talking to Braden
Grandpa Bill holding Braden but needed some convincing to do so!
MAY 25TH
My favorite activity to do with my son is nap with him on my chest......priceless!
MAY 28TH
Braden is all wrapped up snug as a bug in a rug and taking a nap.
MAY 29TH
My parents had us over for a BBQ on Memorial Day weekend.
JUNE 5TH
We celebrated Nannie's 92nd birthday and my parents birthday's all in one. June is a busy month for birthday's in my family. Todd's family came over to my parents house before heading back to Yakima.
JUNE 9TH
Todd's mom, Christy, stayed with us for multiple days at the end of her vacation. She was finally able to hold Braden after seeing him two other times. First time he was in the NICU and second time she wasn't feeling well. I think she tracked some good miles walking with her grand baby and made up for lost time.
JUNE 12TH
We went to Greenlake for a walk after church since the weather was so nice.
Ohh even Ricky held Braden.....Future parents in the making.....time will tell!
JUNE 14TH
My work did a late post delivery baby shower for Braden and I. My work has been too sweet to Todd and I with out wedding and now for Braden.
Debbie gives her usual gift to all the kids which is a sand bucket, swim suit, sandals, and sunglasses. We just had to try the sunglasses out! Too cute!!

Trying to keep up with Braden and take some pictures to show his growth.
He loves to play and talk in his crib. He usually flashes a big old grin when I turn on his mobile. He still has skinny arms and legs but soon he'll start to pack on the pounds.
Braden is hanging out on daddy's lap at my parent's house. His hair looks red in this light.
Braden is wearing his "Daddy's best friend" outfit. He's too long for it now.
Great grandma "Nannie" is getting her chance to hold Braden before he starts to get too squirmy!
Nannie going in for a close up so she can see his face better.
JUNE 2ND
Daddy looking cute snuggling with Braden. I took several pictures trying to get daddy to smile naturally but this was the best I could get.
Braden is hanging out in his swing.
JUNE 4TH
Todd's dad (Mike), stepmom (Joyce), and grandma (Joye) came over for the weekend to meet Braden for the first time. Great Grandma Joye stayed with us which was special. It was fun to have them over and of course they loved Braden but really what's not to love!
Mike and Joyce with Braden moving those arms all around.
I think this is the first time I've had Braden in a short sleeved since our weather hasn't been all that great yet!
Grandma Joyce
Braden looks like he is going to fall off daddy's lap. Dad is trying out a new position...side lying.

I wanted to get a 4 generations photo for Todd's side too.....Mike, Todd, Braden, and Joye.

Braden is cooling down with Auntie Megan. The first day it's been warm enough for him to just hang out in his bodysuit!

Braden so serious looking! He got that from his daddy not me!
Greenlake turtles that love to soak in some rays whenever they are out...crazy how many of them there are.
We tried to get Braden to look at the camera and have his eyes open but it just wasn't working.
JUNE 13TH
My friend Pauletta and her husband Ricky were in town from San Francisco so we went out to dinner with our friends Kelley and Colin....it was a great triple date!
Pauletta and Braden....she doesn't have to scream into my belly anymore!
JUNE 14TH
My work did a late post delivery baby shower for Braden and I. My work has been too sweet to Todd and I with out wedding and now for Braden.
My fabulous postpartum nurse, TK! Thanks for putting up with me.
Debbie and Cheryl with Braden.
JUNE 16TH
Braden was talking to me in the kitchen in his bouncy seat so I couldn't pass up the chance to record it.
JUNE 17TH
There is nothing more peaceful then a sleeping baby! I love how he sleeps with his arms up in the air like momma does sometimes!
JUNE 18TH
Braden loves to hang out on his changing table for the most part. We can hangout there and have conversations for a long time.
JUNE 19TH
Well it's Father's day and you would think we could be organized enough to get a picture of Todd and his son on the special occasion but no. Todd went outside to work in the yard before I could be organized enough and then he was all dirty. Opps! I did however dress his son in his daddy's best friend outfit one more time which is probably the last since he appears to have grown out of it.
Babies grow WAY too fast. Blessing, or a curse, I haven't quite decided. My first is 7 1/2 now and I keep telling her to STOP growing! She just gives me a look and tells me that's NOT going to happen. Sigh. Enjoy him while he is small. Snuggle and love and don't even worry about the blog. Just enjoy him while he is tiny and you can be in control! :) He's adorable, BTW and you look Uh-mazing!
