We had a busy day of party hopping this 4th of July! We started off at Todd's friends, the Dahlberg's, for a 4th /Jacklyn's 7th birthday party at their Greenlake area house. We had tons of fun watching kids run around and had plenty of good food. It was nice to have the 4th be sunny this year however I couldn't be in it with a newborn. Oh well who needs a tan in Seattle.....it sure won't stay long anyways so sort of pointless. Then we moved onto my friend Jenelle's house on the cut between portage bay and Lake Washington. Gorgeous house that belonged to her grandfather and prime location for this event. You can go down to the park at the end of their neighborhood and see the fireworks display over the hill at Gas Works Park. It's so nice because you don't have to deal with the headache of all the people and parking! We had a great turn out and wow has the group grown with babies and more are on the way! The Norwood's decided to do a Hawaiian theme to their party.....tons of good food and more good company. Braden was well behaved especially for that long of a day on the go. We even stayed for the fireworks at the end and he tolerated them without a problem...in fact he slept the whole time. Next year will definitely be more interesting for him.
Braden's Grandpa Mike and Grandma Joyce sent him a little July 4th gift in the mail. Joyce got him this bib so I had to take a pic of him wearing it.

The children stood in line to hit that pinata...she took tons of hits before breaking. I'm not actually sure who broke it in the end.
Tyler was in charge of the kids on this event
Had to get a family photo although Braden was sleeping
How fun! I totally wish I could have been there. My hubby worked the 4th (he films sporting events and was filming the Real Salt Lake Soccer game) so I stayed home w/ the kids and put them to bed early. I remember always looking forward to the fireworks at GasWorks. They're still the BEST ever in my book!!!
